SCHOOL CALENDAR

PLEASE NOTE:

If due to inclement weather or other unusual circumstances the Board would deem it necessary to have student makeup days on a vacation day, the Board would give a reasonable notice (15 days) before implementing the change. Under normal circumstances, the first student makeup day would be the first possible school day after the end of the school year.
The Board of Education reserves the right to establish the calendar. Calendars must maintain the basic structure of the 94-95 school calendar.
Prior to April 15 of the current year, the Board agrees to submit the calendar for the next year to the NUE for review and input.
This calendar includes 180 student-teacher days and 8 other work days for instructional staff as follows: 3 days prior to the start of school; 2 days parent-teacher conferences; and one insrevice day at the end of the first semester (1/2 day(a.m.) for teacher/room work and 1/2 day(p.m.) for teacher/room work, or meetings as necessary); 2 paid holidays (Labor Day and Thanksgiving). The last day of school will be 1/2 day for students and 1/2 day for teacher room work.
